How to access Local System Directories using HTML, Javascript or JQuery?

Hi Everyone,
I am working on Web Browser (IE). I want to access My Documents of login user(s) and then get the recently created folder and its files. After that I want to display these files in form of list on HTML page. Is it possible using HTML, Javascript or JQuery. Waiting for your response.

@SempervivumSep 20.2019 — No, due to security aspects this is not possible. The local filesystem can be accessed by javascript only through user interaction. And that's fine: Imagine, any website would be able to access your local filesystem - a nightmare!
