My biggest issue with web development is that I can't to seem to find a platform that has a lot of widgets and ui tools like Native Android or Flutter. I also struggle finding a structure for larger applications. At the end often my websites use a bunch of different UI tools for different sites or don't seem to work well together. For example I once used for one page Material design lite and for the other MDC (Material Design Components). Another problem that comes up often is that it takes a long time for me to get a widget (or part of the app) right. I enter one margin size, then save, reload and check the result. I enter another margin size, then save, reload and check the result. This process goes on for ever on countless details. It would be nice to have some way to make this easier, like the UI preview on Android.
I think that a great solution to many of these problems will be Flutter for Web, a nice bonus of course is that you also get fast mobile apps.
Although I am really exited for this new technology, I wonder if it is as good as I think it is and that is why I am posting this here, to find out what you think. Do you think regular web development will be unnecessary when Flutter for Web matures? Is there maybe a better solution to my problems? What other thoughts do you have about this?
Thank you! 😃
