I would like to have your opinion about a web (form) project

I have an old web app made with .NET webform, C#, PDFsharp, Asp, MSSQL

Now I would like to RE-make the web app (that works again in production) with modern tools and directly in Azure.

The application is simply a web form with many field to fill that writes the data in SQL and then send a report via e-mail (pdf#).

Today we have so many technologies and I’m a bit confused about which way is the best in this case.

So, what would you recommend? a framework like Angular or other, Bootstrap, MVC, Razor? Other?

  • 1. adapting the code for Azure

  • 2. Restiling the form page (that have many field) with modern UI and UX and mobile device aware

  • 3. Improve the project managent/implementation (add something) over the time

    AFAIK Azure is more or less equal to Digital Ocean, Linode etc, but more "Microsoft"

    Do you plan to use Linux or Microsoft platform on Azure?
