This is an alien for me

Hi,
Please help me!
I’m a complete alien for this topic but I have no choice because at my work I need to sort out the website myself. I’m learning as I’m doing it.
So apparently we already have a domain .com but we using a google website so it came out as .business.site
We bought our domain from 1&1 so I contacted them to see what’s going on, but they said that I need to sort it out by myself or ask a web developer to help me.
I hope this makes enough sense.
