convert wordpress to html

I am trying to make a one page landing page. I want the website to be html based and not wordpress based because it’s just one page and wordpress pisses me off to no end. There is a wordpress theme that I really like. Can I do this: 1) install the theme in wordpress 2) view page source 3) copy all code 4) open notepad++ and paste all code 5) save as .html 6) upload html page to the same domain

would this result in a functional website? do you foresee any problems? I asked on another forum and someone replied “I foresee a couple of problems” but refused to elaborate.

Locate and open Add New under the Plugins

Type and search for Simply Static in the keyword search field

Install and activate the Simply Static plugin

Click Settings to configure how you want to convert the files.

This will give you a screen with three different options for the destination URLs, and a choice of the delivery method.
