The simplest way to make a page like this?

Hi! I don’t know much about webdev, but I need to make and host a webpage which is basically like this:

I want to make a memory training page by replicate this, except there will be a question above the input line, and each question can be answered with a single letter. The characters to the right of the current position (including) will be hidden. By the end of the excercise, I want so show statistics, like speed, nothing fancy.

I can write some Python and C++, but no webdev experience. So I don’t know where to start. Could anyone give an advice on how to implement this in the simplest way possible?
