Web Scraping & Aggregation of universities seminars for a catalog

Hello! I am new here.

I like to build a website which aggregate all the data of the conferences/seminars of the local universities (about eight in total) in my city (Hong Kong) into a single source.

For web scraping, I will likely use Google Sheets and Google Apps Script to collect data in the early hours of each day (eg, 2am to 5am in the morning). If there are some other better methods, please let me know.

For the web development and hosting, i think i will just use linux, apache and mysql and php….

I am good at linux, C/C++ and some basic knowledge of Java/Javascript. However, I don’t have any python experience and have no experience in web development.

Is there something I should learn about before starting. some books perhaps?
