Best approach for this

I’m looking to make something like this, not exactly this but the same basic principal.

Should I have…

A) A container with a left and right div. Left with a background image right with the text content.

On the right have the purple box div, absolute align it with a negative left value.

B) Have a left and right div and make the left with an image with the size so it goes into the right space and have the purple div with a z-index higher than the left image?

@SempervivumJun 06.2020 — You can do this without absoute positioning by

a) shifting the purple container by use of a negative left margin

or

b) shifting it by use of `transform:translate`
