Running a startup script on server

Hi all,

I’m sorry if my question seems stupid. I’m very new to web developing. I design experiments for research on computer but now due to COVID I should rewrite my codes for online data gathering.
I would like to know if it is possible when a user open my page in browser, before uploading the page some scripts would be run on my server. I need to calculate something before the user start to interact with the page. Thanks so much for your consideration.

@NogDogJun 19.2020 — Assuming I'm understanding correctly, you should be able to do this with any of the popular server-side languages in use for web sites these days. The basic flow is: the user requests a URL from the browser (via a HTTP request), the web server kicks off the requested server-side file/script, and part of that script's job is to output the resulting HTML output back to the user's browser. If needed, that server-side script could kick off other scripts on the server and process their output, if that makes sense for what you might already have in place.
