I am currently working on building an ecommerce website for my clothing line, which has been doing fairly well via work of mouth, but I feel it's time for a website. I am a student, and work the summers a a front-end developer, so I am fairly comfortable with React.js, and other frameworks of the like. The problem is, every time I work on the website, I begin to question whether it's worth it, especially after spending hours on a single bug/feature. Is it even worth it to do this, or should I just go with something like Shopify. I'm not sure because if I had all the time in the world, I'd build my own, but I'd like to get a site up in the next three months. I estimate I can build the site in a month, then spend 2 months refining it and adding features/products/refactoring some of the ugly code in there. Opinions from the community? People who have build their own solutions, was it worth it?
