Why is there no such thing as a default method in JavaScript?

Analogue to the constructor that is called by specifying:

`myInstance = new myClass(…);`

…I would have expected there to be something like a “default method” that can cryptically be called like this:

`returnValue = myInstance(…);`

i.e. syntactically called very much like the constructor but without the `new `keyword?

(When researching the web, I found almost nothing)

No, this is not possible. Constructors that are created using the class keyword can only be constructed with new, if they are called without a new keyword they always throw a TypeError.
