boohoo Does it make me a bad web developer?
I am new to web development, but not new to coding. So in order to learn web development, I have to scale down and clean up so I understand what I am doing - or at least try to understand :-). I find web development amusing as long as I do not use jQuery, Bootstrap and similar goodies. And I do not feel a bit bad about this. As clean as possible makes it both easier to understand and maintain.
And here comes my other question - does anyone feel the same? If so, have you found an alternative?
Yes, I have found a completely different path. I search for simplicity, speed and safety. After I installed a forum (Flarum - like this forum) with tons of dependencies I am very happy to not choose the PHP path. I chose to use Go instead (mix of C, Python and Angular sort of). It is refreshing to use a compiled single executable with NO dependencies at deployment. My web development journey has just begun, but I still feel comfortable with my decision. https://go4webdev.org
