I am trying to print/echo/display a unique ID for a row in a MSSQL database which is auto-assigned by the database but all that is returned/displayed is an assortment of symbols instead of an alphanumberic string with hyphens at various intervals, such as this: 12h45j5fds-9ei58lg-k0d9bmc9 (just an example!).
Any ideas why I'm getting strange symbols instead of the alphanumeric string?
Code/Query would help, maybe even some of the database table structure.
I know MySQL has a UUID()
But it sounds like your trying to return the primary key that's usually auto-generated?
