When it comes to page rank VS traffic, i go for website traffic!
A website that is well written and well optimized will be running with no use if it has no visitors.
And it will be more or less considered to be a dead site.
PR is just a rating on how well your site is linked with other's.
If you have good organic traffic, then your PR will automatically gets higher.
So, traffic is essential than PR.

But you must try to post on the websites which will give you the good traffic as getting backlink from the high PR is not big deal but traffic more important as it will give you more and more conversions.
