Marquee & alternate processes

Another question(s) from design class 101.

I am using the Marquee tag for scrolling text for prototyping purposes.

A: How can I get the text to pre-load on the page and then start moving. (Versus coming in at the sides of the screen to begin)

B: What is the best alternative (and the purest replacement) to move away from Marquee that will accomplish A? a simple example would be beyond cool.

I'm sure that if you search on "javascript marquee" you'll find something that will do what you want.

I know it can be done with Marquee, CSS, and JS (and probably php, etc).
What is the best way to do it? Or an example of each.

Right now I have one simple goal: take the text below, have it start on the screen, then scroll repeatedly.

If you don't use the <marquee> tag, I believe that your only viable option is JavaScript. While there are marquee properties proposed in CSS3, it has no controls for delaying the start of the scrolling and there is not much support for it in browsers.

Thanks to everyone.

Found a solution bookmarked that looks promising.
It is in fact Javascript.

Marquee was a quick fix that got the point across visually.
It may be rudimentary but I like it.
