How to create a school result checking site with php

Good Morning my colleagues. I’m Tunde, a Nigerian by birth and a young man who love php so much but can use php to create few limited things like a simple forum etc but who wish to be a guru in php.
Now, a school asked me to create a result checking site for them. I.e. The school students will be able to print their results online(maybe, something like eportal). I would be glad if anybody can put me through how to create it.
