@FrostJMay 14.2018 — #The Google Analytics Data Retention controls give you the ability to set the amount of time before user-level and event-level data stored by Google Analytics is automatically deleted from Analytics’ servers. You can read detailed about it at Google support page - https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en
@VITSUSAMay 14.2018 — #I agree with Frostj, We’re hopeful this is just the first new feature Google will introduce to help marketers control how customer data is stored and for how long. This isn’t a catchall solution for GDPR compliance, but it’s an important component.
To find the data retention controls simply navigate to Admin –> Property –> Tracking Info –> Data Retention. Currently, Google offers two options in the Data Retention Controls. These settings won’t go into effect until May 25, 2018, but there’s no reason to delay.

@recoveryxpertMay 17.2018 — #It is a really helpful Analytics solution from Google. We are expecting about it from a long period of time but at last, it gets launched.
You can setup Data Retention from Admin Console and then Browse to Tracking Infor from Properties and then Click on Data Retention option.
"You may change the retention period for data you send that is associated with cookies, user identifiers, or advertising identifiers. These controls do not affect most standard reporting, which is based on aggregated data. Changes to these settings take effect after 24 hours."
