Correct Way To Insert Code

Hi all, since I don’t know and can’t see any buttons to input my code into this forum, can somebody tell me how to do it? maybe with a screen shot of what button to press or something?
The attached image is what I have on my screen when posting something…

I’d rather be as helpful as I can when asking for other peoples help ?
