I haven't worked with MySQL in a while, so don't recall the normal location/name of that file, but a little googling should get you there. The message appears to be telling you that the value you have in that file for "authentication method" is "config", which apparently is not allowed (or is misspelled in some way).
Need Help!
Been getting this message when I try to open up my SQL on MAMP
