@Jessica2233Aug 25.2019 — Answering your question, it is not hard to make a simple online store. Modern web design tools allow to do this without necessity to hire a professional. I can recommend to pay attention to [10 best eCommerce website builders and platforms of 2019](https://www.beautifullife.info/web-design/10-best-ecommerce-builders/). It is easy to work with them, so you can cope with this work even if you don't have any coding skills and experience. I hope, this info will be useful for you.

Building an online store is pretty hard for a beginner as you need to know both front-end and back-end.

You need to know JavaScript specific React, you also need to know PHP.

In order to understand React you need at least 3 months of hands-on experience with JavaScript, some say. What I say I think it's pretty accurate but you need to be a hast learner. I have 2 months of hands-on experience with Javascript and I am doing find in learning react. But to master it and to make a good looking site you need at lear 1-year experience. IMO.

You also need PHP you handle the transactions, refound, etc. Stuff that I don't know off. And it might be even more complicated than just that. A PHP developer can help you better with this.

Here is a tutorial that builds the front end for a store. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-edmQKcOW8s

But you can always build a store using wix or wardpress.
