I'm using the reference that helsley provided and so far it is working keeping fingers crossed. Thanks again helsley! Right now my icons are layers that you can drag and drop and then since there's a write() function within the .js file provided from that web site I can write to specific layers when the icon is dropped. That is, the layers that make up the 3 columns - at the top of each of these columns I want one layer that serves as a targeted drop (where the icon will drop) and all the layers underneath will populate with data (that is specific to that icon).
So my question is...how do I make it so the user has the option of dropping any icon into either of the 3 targeted layers? Right now I have it so ALL the icons go to just one targeted layer with the following code under the function my_DropFunc() (which is called when an item is dropped):
var currObj = dd.obj;
As well, is it possible that when a user drops a new icon into one of the targeted layers that is already loaded with an icon that that old icon goes back to its original position? Kind of like a swap, but so that the old icon goes back to its original place, it just doesn't swap positions with the new icon that has been now dropped into the targeted layer?
Hope this makes sense! hehe!
Thank you very much!
